The Serenade thing…
8th of February 2012.
It was one rainy evening. Raindrops kept on falling on the roof. The rain’s getting harder and harder… after studying my lesson – Christian living lesson, I pause for awhile and decided to sleep since I don’t have something else to do and it’s getting late… I went to bed and put my phone on the bed beside me, so that if someone’s going to call, I could hear and feel it since it’ll vibrate… not a minute long… my phone beeped, got a message and said, someone’s outside the gate… I was assuming it was him alone…
As I went outside, I saw him with two of our friends standing… I’m little in doubt, because, it’s so unusual… They asked me to sit outside, in front of them… I declined! hehehe… after several minutes, he asked me if it’s okay to serenade… ouch! It’s my very first time then.. hmm…
I didnt say yes, but they proceeded…
…
“adik sa ‘yo”
awit sa akin
nilang sawa na sa aking
mga kuwentong marathon
tungkol sa ‘yo
at sa ligayang
iyong hatid sa aking buhay
tuloy ang bida sa isipan ko’y ikaw
~sa umaga’t sa gabi sa
bawa’t minutong lumilipas
hinahanap-hanap kita
hinahanap-hanap kita
sa isip at panaginip
bawa’t pagpihit ng tadhana
hinahanap-hanap kita
sabik sa ‘yo
kahit maghapon
na tayong magkasama
parang telesine
ang ating ending
hatid sa bahay n’yo
sabay goodnight,
sanay may kiss
sabay bye-bye
~sa umaga’t sa gabi sa
bawa’t minutong lumilipas
hinahanap-hanap kita
hinahanap-hanap kita
sa isip at panaginip
bawa’t pagpihit ng tadhana
hinahanap-hanap kita
sa school sa flag ceremony
hanggang uwian araw-araw
hinahanap-hanap kita
hinahanap-hanap kita
at kahit na magka-anak kayo’t
magkatuluyan balang araw
hahanap-hanapin kahahanap-hanapin ka
That was the song he sang that night… I felt so shy… yeah right! It’s my first time… I appreciate the effort, I could see it, and I was surprised — great surprise indeed!
And after the serenade thing, we enjoyed eating Durian and sing-a-long as the other one playing the guitar. 🙂
Then the rain started to sing with us…
That night was full with laughter.
Memorable Feb. 8 🙂
Good job guys! Thank you for the effort. To the guitarist, second voice and special thanks to my best friend – the lead singer? Hahaha… yeah right! 😉
Hi Viel! This is the first time that I was able to browse on your blog. This is really cute. The serenade thing made me smile! That guy is so creative that he rekindled the traditional way of appreciating a woman – harana! 🙂
Hi ate Audrey, thank you for visiting my blog. 🙂
I think may gumawa din sayo nyan.. 😉
